The Sony PD-AS-801/12 by PowerDsine is a splitter designed specifically for the 8000 series power over Ethernet (PoE) midspans. The unit will take the charged Ethernet cable and separate power and data, allowing non-PoE devices to be connected to the network. The power is transferred to an internal 12 VDC power supply and is compatible with most devices, including access points and webcams.
