Now you can manage a full set of computers with DVI outputs from a single user station with the ServSwitch™ Wizard DVI! The ServSwitch Wizard DVI supports 1600 x 1200 resolution at up to 60 Hz or lower resolutions at higher refresh rates. Its maximum bandwidth of 165 MHz is the highest single-link bandwidth the DVI specification allows. If your video cards and monitor(s) support “compositing” images, choose a dual- or quad-head model. The Dual-Head Wizard DVI supports composite resolutions as high as 2400 x 1600; the Quad-Head Wizard DVI supports resolutions up to 3200 x 2400. Each cascaded 4-Port Wizard DVI adds capacity for another four CPUs, but it uses one CPU port on your higher-level cascaded Wizard DVI. Some DVI video cards support simultaneous output from more than four video heads. Switch up to eight heads using a pair of Quad-Head Wizard DVIs. Synchronise the two switches by running cable between their serial options ports. Attach four heads to one chassis and the remaining heads to the other chassis. The Wizard DVI with the attached keyboard and mouse serially echoes your switching commands to the other chassis, switching all the heads at the same time! And a synchronised system supports CPUs with DVI or analogue VGA-type output. Special cables for easy setup Choose cables that support one keyboard, one mouse, and either one (EHN450), two (EHN460), or four (EHN470) DVI video links. Just one of these cables makes all connections between a Wizard DVI and a CPU or a cascaded switch. Or use standard PS/2 and DVI cables. Run DVI cables up to 5 metres on either side of the Wizard DVI. DDC support for better compatibility DDC2B Display Data Channel signalling enables your monitor to communicate with the CPUs' video cards and configure the CPUs' video drivers automatically at bootup.
